Lifei started learning violin when she was four years old and five years later she reached the highest violin exam marks in grade eight and grade ten in Shanghai. In 2003, she got into the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Middle School with the first place in her year. Within four years time, she had many master classes with top violinists in the world, such as Zakhar Bron; also she had many exchanged of learning and performing experiences with the students from Juiliard School, University of Michigan, University of Memphis and so on.

 

In 2006, she has been invited to the Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester to study violin performing for two years. She then got full scholarship from 2007 and was studying with professor Jan Repko. In 2007, she won the first prize of Concerto Competition at Chetham’s School of Music; hence the first prize of competition, she did two performances with Chetham’s Symphony Orchestra both in Royal Northern of Music and London in Cadogan Hall in 2008.

 

She continued studying from 2009 in the Royal College of Music, in the mean time, she gained another four years full scholarship. She has been studied with professor Jan Repko, Madeliene Mitchell and Mark Messenger through those years. She was concentrated on both duo (violin and piano) and piano trio. Therefore she had many chamber concerts and got high marks for the chamber exams.  Furthermore, she plays pop live music with a song writer/ singer in the place where the famous british band Du Bellow organised once every two weeks in ealing. In addition, she was teaching private students since 2010, most of the student gained great marks or learning experience from her.
